The Hedgehopper Flying Club Inc. is the oldest known continuously operating flying club in Missouri. The club was established in 1951. Over the years we have had many members and many different airplanes. Currently, the club has an Archer II and a Cessna 172. Both aircraft are IFR certified. We are based in Springfield MO at KSGF.
Full Share Members hold a certificate of ownership, they have use of all club aircraft and assets, they have voting rights in the decisions of the club, they have guaranteed weekends with the aircraft, and more. The cost to join as a Full Share Member is negotiated between the seller and the buyer. Full Share Members pay $120.00 monthly dues and $42.50 per dry tach hour.
To be a member you must already hold a minimum of a Private pilot rating and a minimum of 100 hours. Initial training or instruction is not allowed in the club aircraft but advanced training such as instrument and beyond is allowed, usually with an instructor of your choice.
